Hindi Zahra is a singer and songwriter who describes herself as a woman with a restless and free spirit. Born in Morocco and stationed in Paris, Hindi Zahra is the daughter of a father, soldier and mother, actress and singer. Her relatives are musicians who created the Moroccan psychedelic scene, and Hindi Zahra merges all the influences into a sophisticated musical sound and experience. She has grown up with influences from different genres of music, from rock to reggae, to traditional music.
Hindi Zahra, except she likes to sing, she likes to tell stories from her experience. Due to its quality and unique approach, it is often referred to as postmodern Billy Holliday or has been compared to Janis Joplin and Patti Smith… In 2010, she released her first solo album, “Handmade”, along with the single “Beautiful Tango” sold over 150,000 copies all over the world. With blues, jazz, deep lyrics, and unusual Moroccan ethnic elements, Hindi Zahra is a multi-instrumental musician who released her second album “Homeland” in 2015.
